Softball Recap: Wapello Takes a Loss

Wapello was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pekin Panthers. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in June of 2025.

Wapello's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Pekin, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 2-4 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Wapello will venture away from home to take on Winfield-Mt. Union at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Pekin, they will take on Holy Trinity Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
