Lincoln High gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by the Bryan Bears 15-14. This was payback for the Links, who suffered a 26-7 loss the last time these two teams met.

The critical scores for Lincoln High came from Bostyn Dangerfield and Ben Lanham.

Despite the loss, Bryan still got an impressive performance from Dayven Mosbacker, who rushed for 165 yards and one touchdown on only 15 carries. Mosbacker's longest rush was for an impressive 69 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincoln High will venture away from home to face off against Omaha Northwest on Friday. As for Bryan, they will head out to take on Lincoln Northeast at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
