Westmont had already won seven in a row and they went ahead and made it eight on Wednesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Proviso East Pirates. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Sentinels also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2016.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Westmont was: they took both sets by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-12.

Kotryna Vanagas paced Westmont's offense, picking up 11 kills. Vanagas got some help from Ryley Johnson and her 20 assists. Alice O'Connor controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Westmont's victory bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Proviso East, their loss was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-16.

Coming up, Westmont will head out to face off against Elmwood Park at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Proviso East has already played their next contest (against Josephinum), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
