There was some movement near the top of the MaxPreps NorCal Top 20 high school basketball rankings, though Sheldon of the Sac-Joaquin Section remained fixed at No. 1 despite a 74-70 loss to Cosumnes Oaks in Delta League play, the lone NorCal loss of the season for the Huskies.

San Francisco's Archbishop Riordan of the Central Coast Section is up to No. 2 and Salesian College Preparatory (Richmond) of the North Coast Section is at No. 3.

Along with Riodan, San Ramon Valley (Danville) is a newcomer to the rankings.
