Basketball Game Preview: Northern Patriots vs. Allegany Campers

The Northern Patriots just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Allegany Campers at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.

On Friday, Northern was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 47-43 to Huntingtown.

Northern's defeat came about despite a quality game from Sydney Prince, who went 8-for-16 to rack up 19 points along with five boards and five steals. Those five steals gave Prince a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Erin Murphy, who posted three points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Allegany had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They claimed a resounding 55-25 victory over the Flames. The Campers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Allegany's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-3. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32.8 points. As for Northern, their loss dropped their record down to 12-8.
