Wasilla and North Pole are an even 3-3-1 against one another since April of 2018, but likely not for long. The Warriors will head out to take on the Patriots at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Wasilla's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Wasilla is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alaska's top teams: West Valley, who was ranked fifth at the time (Wasilla was ranked seventh). The Warriors came up short against the Wolf Pack on Friday, falling 5-0. The contest was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly Wasilla struggled afterwards.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for North Pole, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 4-1 margin over Hutchison last Thursday. The win continues a trend for North Pole in their matchups with Hutchison: they've now won nine in a row.

North Pole hit Hutchison with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Parker Jusczak (2), Maddox Donahue, and David Hollett.

Wasilla's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4-3. As for North Pole, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4-2.

Wasilla was able to grind out a solid win over North Pole in their previous matchup back in April, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
