Volleyball Recap: Chloe Harry and Francesca Fevold Secure Win for St. Charles East

St. Charles East won the last time they faced Lake Park and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Fighting Saints came out on top against the Lancers by a score of 2-0.

While St. Charles East might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Lake Park scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-20.

St. Charles East was led to victory by Francesca Fevold and Chloe Harry. Fevold had 13 assists and five digs, while Harry had nine digs and three assists. That's the most assists Fevold has posted over her last five matches. Mackenzie Finn also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Despite the loss, Lake Park still got an impressive performance from Deven Townsend, who had 15 digs and two assists. With that strong performance, Townsend is now averaging an impressive 10.1 digs per game.

St. Charles East has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-11 record this season. As for Lake Park, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-18 record this season.

St. Charles East and Lake Park could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Fighting Saints will square off against Naperville North at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday with a big rank disadvantage (240 vs. 55). Meanwhile, Lake Park (ranked 325th) will meet Wheaton-Warrenville South (ranked 123rd) at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
