Castle View has gone 8-1 against Douglas County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Sabercats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Huskies at 6:30 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Castle View is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Colorado's top teams: Boulder, who was ranked fourth at the time (Castle View was ranked first). The Sabercats fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The loss was Castle View's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Douglas County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 5-0 to Chaparral.

Douglas County was without their leading scorer, Peyton Michael, in Tuesday's contest. With Michael sitting this one out, Alexandria Smith got some extra time on the pitch (80 vs. her season average of 60).

Douglas County's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Castle View, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1-1.

Castle View took their win against Douglas County in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 7-0 score. Do the Sabercats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Huskies turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
