Football Recap: Eastern Wayne Warriors vs. Southwestern Randolph Cougars

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Eastern Wayne walked away with it. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Southwestern Randolph Cougars 49-0. Considering the Warriors have won five matchups by more than 32 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Eastern Wayne got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Izeiah Oates out in front who threw for 184 yards and four touchdowns on only 17 passes, and also rushed for 75 yards on only eight carries. That's the most passing touchdowns Oates has posted since back in November of 2024. Another rusher making a difference was Tykel Battle, who gained 86 total yards and three touchdowns.
