Basketball Recap: Dewar Comes Up Short

Dewar fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Riverfield Country Day on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Riverfield Country Day Ravens by a score of 52-49. The Dragons have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

Riverfield Country Day was led to victory by Stone Loosvelt and Anthony Harper. Loosvelt went 6-for-11 to rack up 20 points, while Harper posted seven points in addition to five assists and five steals. Harper is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 14 games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Alex Findley, who had seven points.

Dewar's loss dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Riverfield Country Day, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-5.

As of now, neither Dewar nor Riverfield Country Day have any future games scheduled.
