Baseball Recap: Fletcher Comes Up Short

If Fletcher was riding high fresh off their 10-3 takedown of Blair on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats fell just short of the Amber-Pocasset Panthers by a score of 6-4 on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-1 two weeks ago.

Nathan Mahan was cooking despite his team's loss, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-3. He also scored two runs, which is notable because Fletcher is 7-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-10 otherwise.

Fletcher now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Amber-Pocasset, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, Fletcher will take on Dale at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. Amber-Pocasset does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
