The Zanesville Blue Devils had to endure a ten-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 36-24 win over Licking Valley on Wednesday. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Zanesville has managed all season.
Leading Zanesville to victory were Amaya Seyfried and Isabella Norman. Seyfried scored ten points, while Norman scored 13 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Seyfried has scored all season.
Zanesville's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-13. As for Licking Valley, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Zanesville will take on Granville at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. Granville presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Zanesville in Ohio (Granville is ranked 66th, while Zanesville is ranked 625th).
