Baseball Recap: Brashear's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

If Brashear was riding high fresh off their 18-6 takedown of Sto-Rox last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Brashear came up short against the Carrick Raiders on Monday, falling 13-6. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulls in their meetings with the Raiders: they've now lost six in a row.

Dominic Sarokon was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Sarokon is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Caskey, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and three RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Brashear fell to 2-1. As for Carrick, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brashear will challenge Geibel Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on April 1. As for Carrick, they will take on Perry Traditional Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
