Recap: Port St. Joe Tiger Sharks vs. Bay Tornadoes
The Port St. Joe Tiger Sharks lost against the Bay Tornadoes back in January of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Port St. Joe fell to Bay 60-54. Port St. Joe has struggled against Bay recently, as their game on Saturday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Port St. Joe had strong showings from Jaden Jenrett, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and three steals, and Jayden Reese, who scored 17 points. Those ten rebounds set a new season-high mark for him.
Port St. Joe's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Bay, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
Port St. Joe will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Blountstown at 7:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Bay and Walton will face off at 7:00 p.m. on December 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Walton presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Bay in Florida (Walton is ranked 100th, while Bay is ranked 355th).
