Basketball Recap: Spencerville Piles Up the Points Against Upper Scioto Valley

Spencerville had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past the Upper Scioto Valley Rams 59-31 on Monday. The Bearcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Rams, too.

Upper Scioto Valley lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kamyn Titus, who posted five points and three steals. Titus continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Jaylyn Curtis also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Spencerville's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-9. As for Upper Scioto Valley, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-12 record.

Spencerville will take on Allen East at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Allen East is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.7 points per game this season. As for Upper Scioto Valley, they will head out on the road to take on Elgin at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday.
