Softball Recap: South Spencer Rebels vs. Crawford County Wolfpack
There's no place like home for South Spencer, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Crawford County Wolfpack with a sharp 10-3 victory on Wednesday. The Rebels not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 9, 2024.

Kaylee Schmitt made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single hit and allowed only two earned runs over five innings pitched. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. She was even better at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while going 3-for-3.
In other batting news, Alexis Harris was a standout: she scored two runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Ruthee Clark, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Spencer will head out to take on Tecumseh at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Rebels' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Crawford County, they will head out on the road to square off against Springs Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wolfpack's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Blackhawks have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season.
