Hilton Head Prep sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over Hilton Head Island on Wednesday. Hilton Head Prep's winning goal came courtesy of Riley Wilbert.

Meanwhile, after soaring to five goals the game before, John Paul II was a bit more limited in their matchup last Wednesday. They fell just short of Hilton Head Christian Academy by a score of 2-1. The game was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but John Paul II couldn't quite close it out.

The victory got Hilton Head Prep back to even at 3-3. As for John Paul II, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Hilton Head Prep beat John Paul II by a goal in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, winning 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hilton Head Prep since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
