Volleyball Game Preview: Vaughn Eagles vs. Mountainair Mustangs

Vaughn hasn't had much luck against Mountainair recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Vaughn lost 3-0 to Carrizozo on Thursday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-16, 25-9.

Meanwhile, Mountainair came up short against Quemado on Friday, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-11, 25-8.

Vaughn's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Mountainair, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10.

Vaughn couldn't quite get it done against Mountainair in their previous meeting back in November of 2021 as they fell 3-1. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
