Basketball Game Preview: Math Science & Engineering vs. Hunter College Hawks

After both having extra time off, Math Science & Engineering and the Hunter College Hawks will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses dating back to last season for Math Science & Engineering and four for Hunter College.

Two weeks ago, Math Science & Engineering was beaten by Beacon 55-22. The game marked Math Science & Engineering's lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Hunter College took on Environmental last Friday. Hunter College fell just short of Environmental by a score of 43-40.

Math Science & Engineering will have to contain JUSTIN LIN as he made an impact in Hunter College's last game. He dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 boards. Another player making a difference was JACKSON COHEN, who posted seven points.

Math Science & Engineering's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Hunter College, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.

Math Science & Engineering was able to grind out a solid victory over Hunter College in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, winning 40-33. The rematch might be a little tougher for Math Science & Engineering since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
