Soccer Game Preview: Cambridge vs. Walton

The Cambridge Bears are taking a road trip to challenge the Walton Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Cambridge will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.

Cambridge's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed two weeks ago. They put the hurt on Mount Paran Christian with a sharp 9-0 victory. Considering Cambridge have won eight contests by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Walton's game on Tuesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They had just enough and edged out Milton 1-0. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Walton's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked sixth, while Milton are ranked 70th).

Cambridge pushed their record up to 12-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 44 goals over those seven matches. As for Walton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-2.
