Basketball Game Preview: Kennett Indians vs. Notre Dame Bulldogs

Kennett is 0-10 against Notre Dame since January of 2018 but things could change on Monday. The Kennett Indians will host the Notre Dame Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. Kennett is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.8 points per game this season.

Last Thursday, Kennett came up short against Twin Rivers and fell 53-40.

Despite the loss, Kennett saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Alyce Edwards posted 20 points and four steals. Edwards' evening made it 39 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Jayla Ellis was another key player, putting up three points and ten rebounds.

Meanwhile, Notre Dame was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Monday as they fell 40-34 to Doniphan. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 131st, while the Dons are ranked 34th).

Notre Dame's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Kennett, their loss ended a 13-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-7.
