Volleyball Recap: Tri County Comes Up Short

Tri County was the 2-0 winner over David City when they last played one another back in October of 2015, but their luck changed this time around. The Trojans took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Scouts on Monday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-20.

Olive Clark paced Tri County's offense, picking up eight kills. Clark got some help from Macey Gronemeyer and her 11 assists.

David City's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sadie Nicolas, who had six digs and four assists.

Tri County's defeat dropped their record down to 16-12. As for David City, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.

Tri County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against H&H on the 14th. As for David City, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Milford on the 14th.
