Volleyball Recap: Leeton Comes Up Short

Leeton lost against Archie back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bulldogs took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Whirlwinds.

Archie was led to victory by Eliza Macrander and Lizzy Thompson. Macrander had five aces, while Thompson hit 75% for six kills and nine aces. With that strong performance, Thompson is now averaging an impressive 2.2 aces per game.

Leeton's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Archie, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, Leeton and Archie will both be playing Northland Christian the next time they take the court. The Whirlwinds will head out to face Northland Christian at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Bulldogs will play them later in the day, at 12:10 p.m.
