Basketball Recap: Mid-Pacific Institute Comes Up Short

Mid-Pacific Institute was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 66-22 defeat at the hands of the Hanalani Royals. The Owls were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-8.

Ellana Klemp was her usual excellent self, going 10 for 13 on her way to 24 points and six boards for Hanalani. The dominant performance gave Klemp a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of M?eva Koong, who posted seven points.

Mid-Pacific Institute's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Hanalani, the victory was the 17th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-4.

Mid-Pacific Institute will head out on the road to face off against Sacred Hearts Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Hanalani, they will face off against Damien at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
