Baseball Game Preview: Holy Cross Cougars vs. Lincoln County Patriots

The Holy Cross Cougars will face off against the Lincoln County Patriots at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Holy Cross is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Cougars on Friday. Holy Cross fell 5-2 to Bullitt Central. Holy Cross has struggled against Bullitt Central recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Holy Cross saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Drake, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Lincoln County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of Cumberland County.

Holy Cross' loss dropped their record down to 15-15. As for Lincoln County, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-17.
