Soccer Game Preview: Valley vs. Burbank

The Valley Vikings will square off against the Burbank Titans at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Valley's victory against West Campus wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Vikings narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Warriors 2-1. Given Valley's advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 163rd, while West Campus are ranked 408th) , the result on Thursday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Burbank kept a clean sheet against Fairfield on Thursday. They blew past the Falcons 4-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Burbank.

Burbank's victory bumped their record up to 6-4-2. As for Valley, their win bumped their record up to 13-1-4.

Valley was able to grind out a solid victory over Burbank when the teams last played back in February of 2025, winning 2-0. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Titans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
