Football Game Preview: Divine Child Falcons vs. University of Detroit Jesuit Cubs

The Divine Child Falcons will challenge the University of Detroit Jesuit Cubs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Divine Child has five straight victories, University of Detroit Jesuit has ten straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Divine Child will bounce into Friday's game after beating Lumen Christi Catholic, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. The Falcons managed a 17-13 win over the Titans on Friday. The 17-point effort marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Divine Child found their leader in sophomore Drew Sheridan, who threw for 206 yards and a pair of TDs on only 17 passes, and also rushed for 38 yards.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for University of Detroit Jesuit's offense. They had to suffer through a 34-0 loss at the hands of St. Francis de Sales.

Divine Child's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for University of Detroit Jesuit, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Divine Child strolled past University of Detroit Jesuit in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a score of 33-17. Do the Falcons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cubs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
