Millington Central has gone 9-1 against Fayette Ware recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Trojans will head out on the road to take on the Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Monday, Millington Central got the win against Tipton Christian Academy by a conclusive 12-1.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fayette Ware). They blew past Bolton 19-4 on Monday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded Fayette Ware with their most commanding win of the season.

Angel Hernandez made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

In other batting news, Fayette Ware got a big performance out of Cooper Dennie, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs and one RBI. That's the most runs Dennie has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Caleb Smith, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Fayette Ware always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .815. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Millington Central has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-21 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Fayette Ware, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-8.

Millington Central took their victory against Fayette Ware in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 13-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
