Softball Recap: West Mifflin Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for West Mifflin's offense. They lost 8-0 to the Elizabeth Forward Warriors on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Titans of the 10-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

West Mifflin saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was MIA BEY, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. BEY is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played.

West Mifflin's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 7-4. As for Elizabeth Forward, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. West Mifflin is set to square off against their familiar foe Belle Vernon at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Elizabeth Forward will face off against rival Oakland Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
