Baseball Game Preview: North Port Bobcats vs. Island Coast Gators

The North Port Bobcats will take on the Island Coast Gators at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. North Port will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.

On Thursday, North Port beat Parrish Community 8-4.

Landon Davidson and Steven Commander did most of the damage at the plate: Davidson went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double, while Commander scored two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. The dominant performance gave Commander a new career-high in runs.

Meanwhile, Island Coast unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They came up short against Fort Myers, falling 9-2.

North Port now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Island Coast, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-2.
