Football Recap: Santa Fe Chiefs vs. Pioneer Titans
Santa Fe had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Pioneer Titans 48-7 on the road. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Chiefs also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2023.
Santa Fe got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Devin Clark out in front who rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. Another back making a difference was Refugio Garcia, who rushed for 59 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries.
Garcia wasn't the only one working in the rushing yards department: Santa Fe was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 215 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pioneer only rushed for 93.
Santa Fe will square off against Norwalk at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pioneer, they will challenge Loara at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pioneer is looking for their season?s first victory.
