Basketball Recap: Cape Fear Academy Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

Cape Fear Academy had won four straight home games and Isaiah Gibson did his part to make it five on Monday. The Cape Fear Academy Hurricanes came out on top against the North Pitt Panthers by a score of 59-46 thanks in part to Gibson, who went 9 for 11 on his way to 22 points and six rebounds. Those 22 points gave him a new career-high.

Cape Fear Academy now has a winning record of 12-11. As for North Pitt, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cape Fear Academy will face off against Coastal Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cape Fear Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.1 points per game this season. As for North Pitt, they will take on Greene Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Greene Central's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games.
