Basketball Game Preview: Sanger Indians vs. Panther Creek Panthers

The Sanger Indians will venture away from home to challenge the Panther Creek Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Sanger is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

Sanger will bounce into Friday's game after beating Aubrey, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. Sanger walked away with a 71-63 win over Aubrey on Tuesday. 71 seems to be a good number for the Indians as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Meanwhile, Panther Creek got the win against Gainesville on Tuesday by a conclusive 67-42. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while the Leopards are ranked 416th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sanger pushed their record up to 14-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.0 points per game. As for Panther Creek, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-7.
