Softball Recap: Bonners Ferry Comes Up Short

Bonners Ferry came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 13-1 to the Thompson Falls Blue Hawks. The game marked the Badgers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Bonners Ferry saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jennifer Petersen, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and one run. Petersen is on a roll when it comes to triples, as she's now hit at least one in each of the last four games she's played.

Bonners Ferry's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Thompson Falls, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-6.

Looking ahead, Bonners Ferry will take on Sandpoint at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Badgers are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Thompson Falls, they will head out on the road to square off against Lincoln County at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
