Baseball Recap: Georgetown Comes Up Short

Georgetown fell victim to North Reading and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Hornets, falling 10-0. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Royals were not able to get on the board.

Georgetown's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for North Reading, their victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-3.

Looking ahead, Georgetown will take on Newburyport at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Reading, they will challenge Hamilton-Wenham Regional at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Generals' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Hornets' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
