Soccer Recap: Flat Rock Comes Up Short

Flat Rock lost against Ypsilanti back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Rams came up short against the Grizzlies, falling 6-1. While losing is never fun, Flat Rock can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 272nd, while Ypsilanti are ranked 118th).

This is the second loss in a row for Flat Rock and nudges their season record down to 6-7. As for Ypsilanti, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2-1 record this season.

Flat Rock wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, an 11-3 loss against Airport on the 15th. As for Ypsilanti, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Tecumseh on the 15th.
