Baseball Game Preview: Fort Campbell Falcons vs. University Heights Blazers

Fort Campbell hasn't had much luck against University Heights recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Fort Campbell Falcons will square off against the University Heights Blazers at 5:30 p.m.

Fort Campbell can't be to happy about their upcoming road matchup considering what happened when they opened their season on the away from home on Monday. They lost 10-0 to Christian County. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Meanwhile, University Heights earned a 5-1 victory over Franklin-Simpson on Monday. That's two games straight that the Blazers have won by exactly four runs.

Cadence Gibson made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Gibson was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

In other pitching news, Bryson Turner looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

Gibson wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Josh Pace, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
