Sitka waltzed into their matchup on Friday with 13 straight wins... but they left with 14. They never let the Petersburg Vikings get on the board and left with a 17-0 victory. The Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by seven runs or more this season.

Bryce Calhoun made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Caleb Calhoun was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Josh McAlpin, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Sitka hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in 14 consecutive contests.

Sitka's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-2-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.1 runs over those games. As for Petersburg, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Sitka will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Vikings: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
