Football Recap: Brusly's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

If Brusly was feeling good fresh off their 49-0 takedown of Tara last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers fell 20-12 to the Plaquemine Green Devils on Friday. The Panthers were red-hot offensively heading into the contest (they scored no less than 31 points in the three matchups prior), but the Green Devils' defense proved too tough.

Drake Vincent threw for 237 yards and one TD. Darion Bennett was his top target, picking up 75 receiving yards and one score.

The critical scores for Plaquemine came from Roderick Bingham, Jaden Hammond, and John Walker V.

Having lost for the first time this season, Brusly fell to 3-1. As for Plaquemine, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Brusly wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 51-12 victory against Belaire on the 2nd. As for Plaquemine, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 39-7 win against West Feliciana on the 3rd.
