Volleyball Recap: Walker Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Walker was the 2-0 winner over Fellowship Christian when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Wolverines fell just short of the Paladins by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. While the Wolverines didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Paladins 25-16 in the first set.

Walker actually scored more points across those three sets (59-57), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 16-25, 26-24, 15-10.

Despite the defeat, Walker saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Sofia Moore had 11 digs and four assists.

Fellowship Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ella Hasner led the charge by getting 18 digs and one assist. The team also got some help courtesy of Maggie Moore, who had eight digs and two aces.

Walker's loss dropped their record down to 23-12. As for Fellowship Christian, their record now sits at 24-8.

Walker wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Mount Pisgah Christian on the 18th. As for Fellowship Christian, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against St. Francis on the 18th.
