12 must be Scottsboro's lucky number: they beat Mountain Brook with that score not once but twice on Saturday. The Wildcats blew past the Spartans 12-2. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 contests by six runs or more this season.

Scottsboro is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-13 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.9 runs on average over those games. As for Mountain Brook, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-26.
