Baseball Recap: Valley Catholic Valiants vs. Horizon Christian Hawks

Valley Catholic lost against Horizon Christian back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Valiants took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hawks. The Valiants have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brandon Yee put in work while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Yee was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games he's played.

Yee wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Connor Miller, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases. Will Erickson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Valley Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 2-5-1. As for Horizon Christian, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
