Baseball Recap: Coon Rapids Comes Up Short

Coon Rapids fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Washburn on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Millers by a score of 3-2. The defeat leaves the Cardinals still looking for their first win of the season.

Coon Rapids' loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Washburn, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coon Rapids will face off against Champlin Park at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rebels' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Cardinals' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Washburn, they will head out to square off against Richfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
