Volleyball Recap: Chequamegon Screaming Eagles vs. Mellen Granite Diggers

Chequamegon lost against Mellen last Saturday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Screaming Eagles fell just short of the Granite Diggers by a score of 2-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Chequamegon started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-23, 15-6.

Their offense was headlined by Alize Taylor and Angelina BeBeau, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Jalen Brunell and her 15 assists.
