Bayside Academy had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They enjoyed a cozy 30-13 victory over the Montgomery Academy Eagles on Friday. The win was nothing new for the Admirals as they're now sitting on 12 straight.

Brennen Yamane was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 170 yards and one touchdown while picking up 8.9 yards per carry, and also picked up 32 receiving yards and one score. His longest rush was for an incredible 85 yards. Another player making a difference was Davis Barnett, who threw for 235 yards and three TDs while completing 80.6% of his passes.

Bayside Academy's run defense was locked in: Montgomery Academy could only muster 3.4 yards per carry. The team can thank Monroe Partin for the heroic effort on defense: he. That's the most yards per carry they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Bayside Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Billy Neill and Noah Cain. Partin was another major factor on D, making 12 total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Bayside Academy's victory bumped their record up to 12-1. As for Montgomery Academy, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 11-2.
