Bayside Academy extended their postseason success on Friday against Montgomery Academy. They strolled past the Eagles with points to spare, taking the game 30-13. Winning may never get old, but the Admirals sure are getting used to it with their 12th in a row.

Brennen Yamane had a dynamite game, rushing for 170 yards and one TD while picking up 8.9 yards per carry, and also picking up 32 receiving yards and one touchdown. Those 170 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Davis Barnett was another key player, throwing for 235 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80.6% of his passes.

Bayside Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Billy Neill and Noah Cain. Bayside Academy got some further help from Monroe Partin: he made 12 total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Bayside Academy's record now sits at 12-1. As for Montgomery Academy, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 11-2.

Looking ahead, Bayside Academy will take on Southside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Admirals 10.8, the Panthers 11.9) so any points scored will be well earned. Montgomery Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
