LaCrosse posted their closest victory since September 10, 2024 on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Macksville Mustangs 2-1. This was a revenge game for the Leopards: when they faced off against the Mustangs on September 4th, they had to take a 2-1 defeat.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day LaCrosse got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-18, 20-25, 25-17.

Macksville's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Kinze Grizzell, who had 12 digs, and Heidy Ortiz, who had eight digs, five kills, and two aces.

LaCrosse's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-12. As for Macksville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season.

LaCrosse will have a chance to go back-to-back against Macksville: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Saturday.
