Basketball Recap: Baldwin Comes Up Short

Baldwin played a tough matchup on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Ridgeview Panthers 61-28. The Indians were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-16.

Leading Ridgeview to victory were Nacoya Blocton and Narissa Blocton. Nacoya went 8 for 17 on her way to 23 points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists, while Narissa went 8 of 20 en route to 19 points along with five assists and five boards. The dominant performance gave Narissa a new career-high in assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Rayes, who posted nine points.

This is the second loss in a row for Baldwin and nudges their season record down to 4-4. As for Ridgeview, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Baldwin will head out to face off against West Nassau at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ridgeview, they will venture away from home to challenge Eagle's View at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
