Volleyball Recap: Cornerstone Christian Comes Up Short

Cornerstone Christian was the 2-0 winner over Lowpoint-Washburn when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Cyclones fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Cyclones have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Cornerstone Christian started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-15, 15-6.

Cornerstone Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-20. As for Lowpoint-Washburn, with the win, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 10-13.

Looking ahead, Cornerstone Christian will head out on the road to challenge Roanoke-Benson at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lowpoint-Washburn, they will host Putnam County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
