Soccer Game Preview: Gardena vs. Carson

The Gardena Panthers are taking a road trip to challenge the Carson Colts at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Gardena was handed a three-goal defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Wednesday. They won by a goal and slipped past Rancho Dominguez 3-2. Gardena haven't had any issues with Rancho Dominguez recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Carson made easy work of Narbonne on Wednesday and carried off a 4-1 win. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Carson's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 271st, while Narbonne are ranked 1047th).

Carson hit Narbonne with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Hector Paz, Ayden Rodriguez, Ethan Torres, and Marco Cruz.

Gardena's record is now 4-5-1. As for Carson, their record now sits at 8-4-3.

Gardena couldn't quite get it done against Carson in their previous meeting back in December of 2025 as they fell 3-1. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
